Privacy Policy
Arcana Alarm
Effective date: July 12, 2026
Arcana Alarm is an alarm clock app made by a sole independent developer. This policy is short because the app collects almost nothing — and sends nothing anywhere.
What we collect
Nothing.
Arcana Alarm has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything the app needs to work lives on your device and stays there.
What stays on your device
The app stores the following data locally, inside its own app container on your iPhone:
- Your alarm settings (times, options, preferences).
- Shapes you draw on the screen to dismiss alarms.
- Audio files you import as alarm sounds (the app keeps its own copy in its container).
- Your history and collection of daily tarot cards.
None of this ever leaves your device. There is no cloud sync and no backend. If you delete the app, all of this data is deleted with it.
Permissions
The app requests only one system permission: alarms (Apple's AlarmKit), so your alarms can ring reliably.
Importing audio files happens through the standard iOS file picker, and only when you explicitly choose a file. The app has no background access to your files, photos, contacts, location, microphone, or anything else.
Purchases
The app may offer an auto-renewable subscription in the future. All payments are handled entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase. We never see or store your payment details — Apple processes the transaction and only tells the app whether a subscription is active.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, children included — because it does not collect data at all.
Changes
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a new feature genuinely needs it), we will update this document and its effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app or in the App Store release notes.
